Funeral services for Ms. Carolyn Marie Sturdivant, were held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Sumter County High School, York, AL. Min. Johnny McDonald officiated. Interment followed in Mt. Herman Cemetery, (Millville community, York, AL). Larkin and Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis, AL were entrusted with arrangements.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Leola Sturdivant; four loving sons, Quentin (Rhonda) Sturdivant of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jason (April) Sturdivant of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Terrence Sturdivant of York, Alabama and Jamie Sturdivant of Chattanooga, Tennessee; one sister, Magnolia Larkin of York, Alabama; two brothers, Irvin (Debra) Sturdivant of York, Alabama, and Terry Mitchell of Port Huron, Michigan; step-mother, Earnestine Sturdivant; two aunts, Gracie (Willie) Barnes of York, Alabama and Julia C. (J.D.) Everett of Shubuta, Mississippi; two uncles: Walter (Jessie Mae) Sturdivant of Birmingham, Alabama and Floyd (Mary) Sturdivant of Peoria, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Rasheed, DaQuawn, Derra, CaLeisha, JaQuon, Morgan and Makiya; a niece, who was like a sister, Jacqueline Vickers of Montgomery, AL, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
