Gwendolyn L. Johnson of Atlanta, Ga., passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2010.
She was born to the late Joseph and Hardenia Johnson.
Survivors include three sisters, Carolyn J. Young, Burnquetta M. Johnson and Hardenia J. Childrey; a brother, Joseph (Denise) Johnson; four nephews, Robert Mosby Jr., Robert (Althea) Young, Reuben Johnson and Clinton Johnson; three nieces, LaJoy Mosby, Tracye Williams and Caryn Johnson; three great-nieces, Candace Young, Mariah and Claire Williams; one great-nephew, Trey Young; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 8, at 9 a.m. at Watkins West End Chapel in Atlanta. The Rev. Paul Easley will be the eulogist. There will be a cortege assemble at 8 a.m. at 1605 Versailles Drive SW in Atlanta. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. An Omega Omega service was held Friday evening. Willie A. Watkins Historical West End Chapel of Atlanta is directing the services.
