Winston Orice Kirkham, age 87, of Linden died on Friday, May 14, 2010, at his home.
He was born on Dec. 5, 1922, in Sweet Water. He was a retired natural gas pipeline maintenance worker and was a member of Linden Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Myra Jean Bradley Kirkham of Linden; two sons, Darrell Winston Kirkham and Bruce Allen Kirkham, both of Linden; a daughter, Jeanette K. Kearley of Butler; a brother, James David (Ollie) Kirkham of Rochester, Pa.; two sisters, Frankie K. Cannon of Linden and Sudie K. Reid of Thomasville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at Linden Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Creel officiating. Burial was at Linden Memorial Park. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Linden directed the services.
Active pallbearers were Chris Carlisle, William “Billy” Carlisle, Jerry Gilmore, William “Bill” Kirkham, Billy Kirkham, Robert “Bob” Kirkham, T.J. Kirkham and John Ivey Reid.
Memorials may b emade to the Linden Baptist Church building fund.
