Today is the deadline to register to vote if you intend on launching a ballot in the June 1 primary.

Registration is available at the Marengo County Courthouse.

Mail-in registration forms are available online at www.alabamavotes.gov. They must be postmarked by today. You can also download applications for an absentee ballot from the site, check whether or where you are registered to vote, and view a sample ballot.

The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is May 27. You can apply in person at the circuit clerk’s office in your county, or call ahead to receive one by mail.
