Father of sick child thankful for support

Sometimes in one’s life, something happens that we just can’t understand.

We look for answers. We question God and we say, “Why? Why This? How can this possibly happen?” But at the end of the day we just simply say, “God, I put this in your hands because I know in my heart that you know best,” and that is the gift God gives us for being a Christian.

I am Anna –Coleman’s father, but this letter is not about me or Anna. This letter is about the people that make our wonderful town of Demopolis; the 10,11 and 12 year olds that sell lemonade on the side of the street to raise money for a sick child; the elderly who donate a gift because they have no money to give; the people who donated their time for benefits to raise money for a child and mother in need, and all the people that bow there heads to God and pray for our children.

Understand that this does not happen everyday, nor does it happen in every town for every sick child. I know this for a fact. I have seen it in the halls of Children’s Hospital. What you have done is special.

It is so special that I can’t comprehend all the love and generosity. It is overwhelming. It is Demopolis and its wonderful people at their best. Thank you Demopolis and God Bless you.
