Reese Maxwell “Max” Holifield Jr., age 51, of Demopolis passed away on July 2, 2010, at his residence.
He was born on Feb. 13, 1959, in Demopolis to Sara Oleta Middlebrooks Holifield and the late Dr. Reese Maxwell Holifield Sr.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Thomas Charles Holifield.
Survivors include his mother; two sisters, Dr. Nancy Holifield (Dr. Mark Franklin) Prysi of Naples, Fla., and Tereesa Holifield (Dr. Robert Quenton) Craddock of Birmingham; two half-sisters, Ashleigh Holifield and Emily Holifield; four nieces, Sara Elizabeth Prysi, Brooke Alexandra Prysi, Reesa Reneé Holifield and Christina Jean Holifield; three nephews, Reese Quenton Craddock, Robert Maxwell Craddock and Joshua Thomas Holifield; and a sister-in-law, Cyndi Holifield.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, July 4, at 2 p.m. at Heiberger United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Scott officiating. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directed the services.
