William Jackson Pritchett Sr., age 93, passed away on Sept. 3, 2010, at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home in Demopolis.
He was born on Aug. 2, 1917, to the late Clarence Crenshaw and Lora Canady Pritchett in Jackson, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha hand; a daughter, Kathryn Barnhill; a sister, Elizabeth Carlton; and two brothers, Preston Pritchett and Clarence Pritchett.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Ann Agee of Gainesville, Fla.; a son, William Jackson Pritchett Jr. of Toano, Va.; a sister, Lora Perry of Birmingham; a brother, James E. Pritchett of Thomaston; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 10, at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Demopolis with Dr. Arthur Luckie officiating. The family will receive friends at the church after the service. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel is directing the service.
