Ronald Clarke Pharr Sr., age 71, of Thomaston passed away on Sept. 12, 2010, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 8, 1938, in Thomaston. He was a retired millwright and a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia “Patsy” Carol Pharr of Thomaston; a son, Ronald Clarke (Angela) Pharr Jr. of Thomaston; two daughters, Rhonda Carol Pharr (Ricky) Harris of Thomaston and Patricia Renee Pharr (Mike) Stewart of Hoover; four sisters, Louise Glass of Thomaston, Marion Coats of Killen, Dean Etheredge of Surginer and Jean Schroeder of Demopolis; and seven grandchildren, Emily Harris, Jacob Harris, Elizabeth Stewart, Parker Stewart, Gaston Pharr, Channing Pharr and Gannon Pharr.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mike Allen officiating. Burial was at Thomaston Cemetery. O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home of Linden directed the services.
Active pallbearers were Jeff Etheredge, Mike Stockman, Brad Henson, Lynn Howard Crocker, Kevin McKinney and Wade Sheffield. Honorary pallbearers were Lynn Crocker, Don Crocker, Lamar Stockman, Elvin Stokes, J.B. Phillips and Henry Vick.
