The Steven Padilla Band will play in concert on Thursday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. at the Demopolis Civic Center.
This performance was carried over after the band was forced to cancel its performance at the inaugural Hay Dayz festival in August.
Steven Padilla came to the attention of the college music scene in the fall of 2008. His debut CD titled “16 in a Small Town” is due to be released this summer.
Most of the songs on the new CD were written by Padilla, who says he found inspiration from George Strait, Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan.
Padilla and his band will perform in the warehouse on Saturday, Aug. 14, beginning at 8 p.m.  Admission to the event is free to anyone who has paid to get into the festival grounds.
Admission to the concert is $10. The concert will benefit the Demopolis City Schools Foundation.
The DCSF will also be selling cooked turkey breasts, having them available on Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Demopolis High School baseball field.
Tickets are on sale now for $20 each. To order a turkey breast, call the Foundation office at (334) 289-2226.
