Billy Jack McClinton, 78, a retired millwright of Linden, died Thursday, Sept. 30 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis. He was born July 18, 1932 and was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church and the Demopolis American Legion. He is survived by his wife Mary Louise McClinton, daughters Deborah Bonner of Tuscaloosa and Teresa Smith of Linden, son Billy Jack McClinton Jr. of St. Petersburg, Fla., daughter Paula Fultz of Linden and grandchildren Bethany Compton, Seth Bonner, Anna Kathryn Bonner, Phillip Mark Smith Jr., Christopher Smith, Ashley Smith, Billy Jack McClinton III, Brandon McClinton, Thomas Fultz, M. Weldon Fultz, Colston Fultz and Leighton Fultz and great grandchildren Phillip Nathan Smith and Isabella Fultz as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services with military honors were hold at Linden Memorial Park on Sunday, Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tony Earl Cannon officiating. Active Pallbearers were his grandsons.
