‘Tag’ auction/fundriaser is tonight

The Marengo County Historical Society will hold a tag sale Thursday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Coplin Building in Demopolis. The event will have a silent auction and a food sale as well as a wine and cheese reception. Items available for bid will include antiques, art, furniture, glassware, new items, casseroles, desserts, soups, football tickets, a beach trip and a hunting trip. Admission is $10 per person and $5 for historical society members.

Tag Sale items include furniture, paintings, prints, glassware, china, and more.

Silent auction items include gift certificates from Mr. G’s , Napoleon’s, Smokin Jacks, New Orleans Bar and Grill, La Gran Fiesta, Holiday Cleaners, Suds, Batter Up, Perfect Touch, homeware from Perfect Touch Home, a Dewalt drill from Cemex, homeware from Larry Walters Furniture, a week of gog training by Rosemary Shows; pottery by Carolyn Cowling; photography by Rob Fleming, paintings by Kirk Brooker, photography by Thomas Melton, photography by Catherine Meador, photography by Kelley Smith, photography by Joe turner, paintings by local artists and more.

The food sale homemade casseroles, desserts, stew, Boston butts, and more from Demopolis’  finest cooks

The live auction includes a hunting trip, with one-night’s stay at a camphouse in Sumter County for up to four guns and a day of fishing at Cottonwoods.
