Association is sponsoring a two-man scramble golf tourney at the Ravine

Friday, Oct.15.

“It’s part of the celebration for UWA’s Homecoming,” event organizer Steve Henderson said. “All profits go toward our Marengo County scholarship fund.”

Registration begins at 10 a.m. at the Ravine Pro Shop with a shotgun tee off at 11 a.m.

There will be a BBQ sandwich lunch, door prizes, ditty bags and beverage

carts on the course, all for $75 per person. The event is a fundraiser for

the scholarship fund and all scholarships will go toward Marengo County

students who choose to attend UWA.

“Our alumni group used to have a golf tournament. The Homecoming tournament, the first one was last year,” Henderson said. “The school did it and decided not to do it again. So we decided to pick it up as a fundraiser.”
