Harold Jessie Luker, 64, of Demopolis passed away Wednesday, Oct. 13 at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa. A former supervisore of Griffith Packing Company, he is survived by his wife Peggy Batson Luker of Demopolis, son Eugene Luker (Elizabeth Kirk Luker) of Greensboro, daughter Sarah Luker Barnhill (fiancee’ Matthew Black) of Demopolis, daughter Linda Kaye Luker Parker (Fred) of Clanton, grandchildren Michael Casper, Drew Parker, Lexi Parker, Bailey Parker and Neeland Ryan Luker, sister Faye Porter (Dick) of Gallion, Patsy Coats (Sammy) of Gallion and Pam Durham (Keith) of Demopolis, brothers Kerry Luker (Joyce) of Demopolis and Jimbo Luker (Suzanne) of Pinson. He was born to Jesse and Rubye Pearle Phillips Luker in Marengo County June 7, 1946. He is preceded in death by his father Jesse Luker, mother Rubye Perle Phillips Luker, brother Edward E. Luker and sister Janiece Luker Wilkerson Hill. Funeral services are set for Saturday, Oct. 16 at River of Life Assembly of God at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Charlie Ganus officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow at Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Active Pallbearers include Edward Eugene Luker, David Coats, Tony Luker, Richard Porter, David Cleveland, Keith Durham, Doug Null, Todd Dunavent and Brother Ed Pickle. Honorary Pallbearers consist of Am Star EMS, the ER doctors and nurses at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital, volunteers of Southern Care Hospice, Demopolis Senior Center and the Highway 80 Citgo Coffee Group. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association P.O.
