4 arrested on meth charges

Demopolis Police Department arrested four Mississippi residents on charges of Unlawful Manu-facture of a Controlled Substance.

Cleo Corban, Eric Harvey, Tiffany Harvey and Wendy Harvey were arrested Nov. 3 by local officers after attempting to purchase materials used to manufacture methamphetamine.

“In the State of Mississippi it is against the law to purchase these items, so they come to Alabama to purchase,” Demopolis Police Chief Tommie Reese said. “I am very proud of the officers in this arrest.”

Those four arrests are part of what has been a busy month for the DPD in corralling drugs on Demopolis’ street.

Demopolis police officers arrested four residents Nov. 1 after executing a search warrant at 839 Hilltop Circle on the suspicion of drugs.

Officers arrested Karen Patrice Eldridge, Rita Kim Stephens, Jonathan Travis Dollison and James Eugene Ford on charges ranging from Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Also arrested Nov. 1 but at a different location was Claude Blake Brame, who was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.

“If you are selling drugs in the City of Demopolis beware,” Reese said. “Today may be your day.
