Elizabeth Rumley Mayton, 82, of Uniontown passed away Oct. 13 at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa. Born July 17, 1928 to the late William Francis and Myrtle Allison Rumley, she is survived by her son Grantham James Mayton Jr. (Pam) of Tuscaloosa, daughters Elizabeth Kephart (Jack) of Huntsville, Margaret McCarley (David) of Prattville, brother Richard Rumley (Mary Jewel) of York, three grandchildren; Jamey Kephart (Angela), Adam Mayton and Ava Mayton and one great grandchild; Alyssa Kephart. Graveside services took place Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Rosemont Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Tate officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Uniontown Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
