James Howard Mann Jr.

James Howard Mann Jr. of Summerfield, Fla. died Nov. 6. Born Feb. 28, 1942 in Demopolis, he served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Jackie, of Summerfield, Fla, son; Kevin (Debbie) of St. Cloud, Fla.; and granddaughters, Lily and Malynn Mann of St. Cloud, Fla; with a host of extended family and friends.
Jim was a retired accountant and cattle rancher who loved to play racquetball and softball. “Pops” loved our Lord, his family, church family, in addition to being a member of Pedro Baptist Church. Jim will be deeply missed, but through our love of Jesus Christ, we will meet again.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. at Pedro Baptist Church with Pasors Chuck Miles and Ken Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one our prior to service.
Funeral services in Demopolis will be Saturday, Nov. 13 at Fairhaven Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jack Henderson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 before the service. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Florida Baptist Children’s Home, P.O. Box 8190 Lakeland, FL 33802 or Hospice of Marion County.
