Dorothy Clair Boykin Martin, 73, of Demopolis passed away Monday at her home. Born Aug. 14, 1937 to the late Walter Spranly and Mable Danner Boykin, she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Troy Martin Sr. and sister Jimmie Rae Knat. She is survived by daughters Jennifer Clair Martin of Demopolis, Torie S. Wiggins (Wayne) of Jackson and Dana M. Edwards (Ricky) of Demopolis and son Troy Martin “Skip” Jr. of Demopolis, sisters Barbara Ann Jacobson of Wheatland, Calif., Janet P. Stallings of Cuba and Debra K. Boykin Smith of Virginia as well as 11 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside services were weld Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 3 p.m. at Payne Chapel in Dixon Mills with Aaron Carpenter officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. The family received friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
