Sharon Ann Scales Register, age 57, of Prattville, Alabama, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mazie and Fonzy Wilson and John and Mary Ella Scales all of Selma, Alabama. Sharon is survived by her husband James M. (Jimbo) Register, II; sons Robert Mark Kelley, Christopher James Kelley, and step-son David Michael Register; her daughter, Michelle Kelley Burns (Bobby); a granddaughter, Madison Colleen Burns; her parents, John Blakely Scales, Sr. and Elna Wilson Scales; her sister, Colleen Scales Rutland (Frank E.); her brothers, John Blakely Scales, Jr. (Angela), Patton Wilson Scales (Sara), Samuel Kirby Scales (Laurel); and 9 nieces and nephews.

The joy of her life was her granddaughter, Madison.

Sharon, who was affectionately known as “Nanan” by her family was born August 2, 1953 in Selma, Alabama. She attended First United Methodist of Prattville. She had a successful career as regional manager of both Ruby Tuesday and Jameson Inns. Most recently she was in business with her mother, Linens by Loraine.

Services will be held Sunday, December 26, 2010 at 3:00 at New Live Oak Cemetery, Selma, with Rev. Fred Zeigler officiating and Lawrence Brown- Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-2:45.
