It’s a running joke that Alabama weather is hardly predictable. Further humorous is our sudden need of milk and bread at the mention of snow and/or ice.

That’s about all that’s funny about it.

As of late yesterday, between one and four inches of snow and/or ice were predicted to hit the area Sunday and into Monday.

That can make travel conditions hazardous. Granted, the forecast can change multiple times over the course of the next 48 hours, and it probably will. But, there’s very little indication that we will dodge the bullet entirely.

Saturday is expected to be cold but clear. If you need milk and bread, or anything else, we urge you to get them today. Fighting the crowd will be much better than causing an accident on what could become ice covered roads tomorrow and Monday.
