Wilma Bobbie Langston Shine, 74, died Jan. 28. Wilma was born on June 13, 1936 in Strakville, Miss. to parents Pearl Holleman Langston and Dalco Obed Langston. She resided in Demopolis where she taught first grade for many years. She was Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Alabama and received her degree in psychology at Howard College in Birmingham. She went on to get her masters in early elementary education from Livingston. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Shine Lee, son-in-law, Phillip Alston Lee, son, Robert Langston Shine, daughter-in-law, Kathleen Tucker Shine and her five grandchildren, Robby, Katie, Andy, Matt and Henry. She was a mother and an educator. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Memorial services were held Monday, Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Demopolis with Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating.
