Caro “Cakie” Mackey Webb

Caro “Cakie” Mackey Webb, 86, of Demopolis passed away at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa Monday, Feb. 14. Born May, 29, 1924 in Birmingham to the late John B. and Caro Johnston Mackey, she is survived by two daughters, Martha W. Jackson (Jerry) of Demopolis and Caro W. Osborne (John) of Demopolis, two sons, Henry Winder Webb Jr. (Molly) of Cottage Grove, Minn. and Mem Creagh Webb II (Rachel) of Gardendale, grandchildren Jerry Wayne Jackson Jr. (Natasha) of Frisco, Texas, Fanelle O. Hocking (Allan) of Fort Benning, Ga., Henry Winder Webb III (Thao) of MCMC Vietnam, Lemuel Webb Jackson (Dr. Jennifer) of Daphne, Anna Sheridan Webb Harris (Jay) of Auburn, Jenna A. Webb Weber (Keith) of Birmingham, Mem Creagh Webb III of Gardendale, great grandchildren Callie Virginia Jackson, Jerry Wayne Jackson III, Charles Henry Jackson, Mary Virginia Jackson, Macy Elizabeth Jackson, Ron Richardson Jr., Emily Richardson, Owen James Harris, Claire Brooks Harris, Hugh Henry Harris and Cousteau Tao Webb as well as a host of other family members whom she cherished dearly.

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Henry Winder Webb, parents John B. and Caro Johnston Mackey, her precious grandson John Albert Osborne, sister Martha Mackey Patterson and her brother John Brooks Mackey.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Feb. 17 at Riverside Cemetery with Father Bryan Hatchett and Father J.D. Barnes officiation and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-10:45 a.m. before the service. The family will also receive friends at the family home of Mrs. Webb Wednesday, Feb. 16 from 3-7 p.m.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all of the wonderful ladies who have given their time and love to care for their mom over the years.

Active Pallbearers include John Cox Webb, Bill Lane, Mem Stewart Webb, John Mackey, Jimmy Monier and George Patterson.
