Marion Evelyn Davis, 81, passed away Sunday, Feb. 13 in Dyersburg, Tenn. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

A retired nurse’s aide for Parkview Hospital, she was also a member of Harvest Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star, where she served as a Past Worthy Matron.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde William Davis, mother, Clara Mae Smithers Taylor, father, Franklin Edwin Taylor, daughter Karel McAlister, sons Michael Wayne Davis and James Edwin Davis.

She is survived by four daughters Clara Shumate of Dyersburg, Tenn., Mary Holden (Jim) of Dyersburg, Tenn., Bonnie Reid (Charlie) of Demopolis, Jennifer Pinson of Dyersburg, three sons, Billy Clyde Davis Jr. (Pat) of Dyersburg, Bobby Davis (Angie) of Newbern, Tenn., Tommy Davis (Tammy) of Dyersburg, Tenn., sister Geraldine Vickers of Clinton, Miss., brother Floyd Taylor (Barbara) of Dothan, 28 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Nathe Ozment and Rev. Scott Sewell. Pallbearers will include Andy Wright, Tim Pope, Todd Palmer, Tommy Kelly, Jeff Hudson, Gene Hall, Jim Weeks, Jerry Lee and Gerald Prince.

Honorary Pallbearers will include her grandsons and the men of Harvest Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Harvest Baptist Church, 544 Fuller Road, Dyersburg, Tenn. 38024.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 16 from 11 a.m. until service time at Harvest Baptist Church.
