Thomas “Tommy” Leopard, 23, of Demopolis, was arrested and charged Wednesday evening with Criminal Mischief III on Herbert Street.

Leopard, who has served as preacher of First Christian Church of Demopolis since October, was booked and later released. According to the Alabama code, Criminal Mischief III is applicable when less than $500 of property damages are caused by a subject. It is a Class B misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and $3,000 in fines. Details of Leopard’s arrest were unavailable as of presstime.
