Gladys Wilkerson Cassity

Gladys Wilkerson Cassity, 78, of Gallion died Thursday, Feb. 24 at her home. She was born April 24, 1932 in Thomasville. She was a retired examiner with Vanity Fair. She was a member of the Cornerstone Church.

She is survived her sons George T. “Tommy” (Debbie) Cassity of Demopolis and Danny (Joy) Cassity of Gallion, daughter Charlotte C. (John) Crepps of Gallion, brothers Bill (Claire) Wilkerson of Saraland and Harold (Linda) Wilkerson of Thomasville, sisters Vernon W. Pugh of Thomasville and Hazel W. Garrett of Valdelia, Ga., eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband George William Cassity, brothers W.C. Wilkerson and Joe Wilkerson and sisters Lois W. Rush and Inez W. Gould.

Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rob Wynne officiating. Burial was at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.

Active Pallbearers were Brandon D. Crepps, Jeremy T. Cassity, Jason D. Cassity, Ryan T. Cassity, Joshua M. Cassity and Justin E. Webb.

Honorary Pallbearers were Blake Webb, R.J. Marchand, Wynn Marchand, Stahon Wilson, Gaige Wynne, Robert Lee Wynne, Jared Gray, Laura Grace Wilson, Austin Crepps, Trent Crepps, Brent Langley, Kevin Crepps, Dylan Wynne, Amelia Rae Cassity, the staff of Southern Care Hospice and Tara W. Sealy, Thomasen Watters, Bro. Rob Wynne.
