Charles Leland Dotson, 73, of Demopolis passed away Feb. 24 at Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa. Born Feb. 9, 1938 in Carrolton, Ill., he was preceded in death by his father Roman Dotson and grandchildren Haley Nicole and Charles Aubrey. He is survived by his mother, Mary Dotson of Silver Springs, Fla., wife Chanie Walker Dotson of Demopolis, daughter Tina Dotson Yaun of Gulf Shores, son Charles Leland Dotson Jr. of Dauphin Island, sister Karen Haskins of Ocala, Fla., brother Braxton Roman Dotson of Silver Springs, Fla. and grandchild Kaitlyn Chanie Yaun of Gulf Shores.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m. at Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Services will be officiated by Pastor Gwinn Etheridge. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Pallbearers include Patrick Davis, Jesse Davis, Pete Davis, Tommy Pearson, Frank Dunn, Randy Freeman and John Cross. Honorary pallbearers include Buddy Cross, Donald Lamb and Sonny Tatum.
