Funeral service for Sandra Nell Vines McDaniel, age 69, of Hartselle, will be Monday, March 7, 2011, 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Scotty Hogan officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6, 2011, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.

Mrs. McDaniel, who died Friday, March 4, 2011, at Decatur General Hospital, was born November 7, 1941, in Birmingham, to Clanton Edward Vines and Ezelle Jones Vines. She is a member of Westmeade Baptist Church where she attended the Betty Stanton Sunday School class. Prior to retirement, she worked 15 years at Meyer Electric Company. Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Kaye Baker.

She is survived by her husband, George Edward McDaniel of Hartselle; one son, George Edward ìEddieî McDaniel, Jr. and wife, Tracey, of Dallas, GA; four daughters, Leanne Brown and husband Randall of Hartselle, Gayle Fowler and husband, Allen of Decatur, Kathy McDaniel of Decatur, and Sheri Pierce and husband, Jason of Bogalusa, LA; one sister, Sylvia Malone and husband, Frank of Demopolis, AL; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Allen Fowler, Jonathan Fowler, Steven Chop, Joshua Chop, Aaron McDaniel and Jason Pierce. Honorary pallbearer will be Randall Brown.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
