LIVINGSTON — A single-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Sumter County claimed the life of a York teenager. Eddrick Taquan Jones, 17, was killed when his vehicle ran off County Road 13 and crashed.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Jones was traveling over the posted speed limit when he lost control of his vehicle, ran off the road, and overturned. Jones was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred at 1:45 p.m. approximately three miles south of Livingston. State Troopers continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
