Demopolis shoppers are in for a fashionable treat March 31 when popular fashion store Goody’s makes its grand opening in the current Peebles store location at 505 US Highway 80 West. Loyal Peebles shoppers need not worry though, because Goody’s will carry an expanded assortment of the quality, brand name apparel and accessories Peebles customers know and love, plus a great selection of juniors and men’s apparel that made Goody’s a destination for the latest looks.

Customers who are eager to get a first glimpse of the new Goody’s store can attend the 8:45 a.m. ribbon cutting, with doors swinging wide open to welcome all shoppers at 9 a.m.

Shopper reward programs such as a membership discount for customers 50 and over, military discount and VIP Rewards membership will also be available at the new Goody’s.

“We recognize that Goody’s has strong name recognition in many areas, and when they went out of business, it left a void for many,” said Andy Hall, president and CEO of Stage Stores Inc., the parent company of Peebles and Goody’s. “We want our customers to have the opportunity to shop at their store of choice.”

Stage Stores purchased the rights to the Goody’s name in 2009 and the retail company has begun operating stores under the Goody’s name in select markets where loyalty to the Goody’s brand is strong.
