To update its mission and reflect the needs of the city’s schools, the Demopolis City Schools Foundation is asking residents to take a survey.

The short, eight-question survey can be accessed on the Foundation website at www.demopolis.org. through April 15. Copies of the survey also may be found at area businesses and at the Foundation office, 102 E. Washington St.

“The Foundation has been working on a new strategic plan since last fall, which happened to occur at the same time the school system began its own strategic plan development,” said Foundation Director Jan McDonald. “Because of the overlap, the Foundation opted to delay its survey until after the one by the school system had been completed.”

The Foundation will use the responses from parents, teachers, business leaders and members to gauge its effectiveness in Demopolis City Schools and in the community and to determine its future direction.

All responses to the survey are anonymous unless personal information is volunteered. Questions about the survey or information on the Foundation are available by calling the Foundation office at 289-2226 or contacting by email, dcsf@westal.net.
