Pancakes and sausage for dinner? The meal has become a favorite with supporters of the Demopolis City Schools Foundation who look forward to the event each spring.

Jack’s Family Restaurant is hosting the fund-raiser again this year on Thursday, April 21, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Each dinner is $5, with drinks extra, and can be dine-in or take-out.

Patrons may want to stick around, however, to watch the pancake-eating contest among several athletes from Demopolis High School. Coach Tom Causey has promised to recruit about 10 players to vie for the championship.

Tickets for the dinner are available from any Foundation board member or by calling the Foundation office at 289-2226. Deadline for purchase is April 14.
