Colonel Essie Rowser of Decatur, GA a native of Demopolis, AL. Colonel Essie Rowser passed recently at her residence in Decatur, GA. Funeral services with full military honors and a 21 gun salute were held Monday, March 28, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Evening Star Bapt. Church Gallion, AL. Rev. Floyd James officiated. Interment will followed in the Evening star Cementary with full military honors.

Essie was preceded in death by her parents David & Bessie Rowser. She leaves to cherish her memories: a very loving and devoted sister Thelma Rowser who was with her in when she passed, a brother Bishop James Johnson, Waynesboro, Her loving nieces and nephews, Audrey Johnson, Marylyn Johnson, Felicia(Peter) Tursic, Renaldo(Orlando) Nelson, Benita & Arnitha Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Lorenzo(Karen) Johnson, David(Chris) Rowser. Two loving Aunts Beatrice (Armstead) Hertz, Dorothy (Daniel) Baldwin. God daughter Donna (Anthony) Dallas; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and other relative and friends. A devoted friend Hilda Holt, and a very special friend Veronica Hudson.
