Laverne G. Poole, 77, of Linden went to be with her Lord on May 7 in Huntsville. Services were held Tuesday, May 10 at 2 p.m. at Linden Baptist Church. Burial followed in Linden Memorial Gardens with Rev. Randy Creel officiating. Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing.

She is survived by two daughters, Marie (Ed) Schroeder of Trinity and Patricia (Mike) Luker of Linden, a sister, Clarice Agee of Monroeville, six grandchildren, Kayla Whitehead, Clay Tew, Chris Luker, Kim Harrington, Tabitha Boyd and Sharen Ahlberg, 11 great grandchildren, Brody Whitehead, Kelsi Whitehead, Jordan Jatko, Jason Jatko, John Jatko, Justin Quinnelly, Josh Quinnelly, McKenna Ahlberg, Blake Luker, Brooke Luker and Whitney Harrington.

She was preceded in death by husband Johnnie C. Poole, daughter Johnna Faye Poole, sisters Velma Peppenhorst, Elizabeth Braswell and Rose Lee Cleveland and a brother, Sam Glass Jr.
