Dr. William “Billy” Alston, 87, a retired veterinarian of Linden died Sunday, May 1 at his home. He was born Jan. 13, 1924 in Linden. He was a member of the Linden United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his daughter Ann (George) Fendley of Camden, grandchildren Amy (Bo) Swanner of Camden and Will Fendley of Camden and great grandchildren Cam Swanner and Steele Swanner of Camden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Rhodes Alston.

Graveside funeral services were held at Old Linden Cemetery on Wednesdsay, May 4 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ray Bass officiating.
