Joey and Tony Gulizia, originally from Omaha, Neb., have been professional musicians since childhood. Along with their love for music, Tony Gulizia said he and his brother have been teaching Jazz music for 31 consecutive years at a summer jazz camp in Lake Okoboji, Iowa.

The Gulizia Brothers play a variety of jazz styles from traditional to cool, and from swing to latin jazz.

Webb Tutt and Tony Gulizia partnered and organized this event for recent tornado victims.

“I have friends in Tuscaloosa,” Tony said. “I met Webb and Jill Tutt for the first time in Beaver Creek, Colorado a while back. We became good friends. Jill Tutt is an amazing singer. I actually performed with Jill at Foscue House before. When I heard about the tornado in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, it shocked me. I have friends that live in Tuscaloosa, so I talked with Webb and said hey, let’s do this concert to help raise money for the victims of the tornado.”

Joey Gulizia, a professional percussionist, has a record label with American Gramphone Records.

“I am so excited to have my brother come,” Tony said. “This will be his first time in Demopolis, Alabama.”

Tony hosts a radio show called “Jazz at its Peak” in Colorado. “My brother and I also have other private record labels as well,” says Tony. The Benefit Concert will be July 7, from 8-11 p.m. Tickets are: $65 per person or $100 for two. For ticket information contact: (334) 289-8686.
