Some miscellaneous items of work remain to be completed.

Motorists should use caution and reduce speeds when traveling through the work zone.

State Road 114 near mile marker 13, west of County Road 11, had been closed to traffic since January 2010.

State engineers thoroughly assessed damages and studied soil and drainage issues to determine the exact cause of the slide.

Those studies assisted engineers in designing repair plans that will help the roadway withstand similar problems or failures in the future.
