Thursday, Jeffery Scott Standridge, 32, of Hoover, found his way to the Demopolis Police Department, charged with two counts Transmitting Obscene Material to a Child by Computer and one count of Electronic Solicitation of a

Child.

“The addition charge stems from Mr. Standridge’s asking something of the victim,” Demopolis Police Chief Tommie Reese said.

In both cases this week, as in the six other cases this summer, the victim was a Demopolis Police Investigator.

The arrestees have come from as far away as Oklahoma and from all around Alabama. Reese commended the CID and the entire Demopolis Police Department for their continue efforts in keeping Demopolis children safe.

“There’s obviously people out there looking to get in contact with our children,” Reese pointed out. “Thankfully, in these cases, they’ve not made it to them. I thank the officers and investigators for seeing to that.”
