Maxine Gilmore Calloway, age 83, of Selma, died Tuesday September 13, 2011. Mrs. Calloway was a nurse of Dr. DeBardeleben for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Oscar and Fannie Mae Gilmore; granddaughter, Amanda Maxine Calloway; brother, Wyman Gilmore; sisters, Vera Nell Hutchinson and Audrey DeVane. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Frank L. Calloway, Sr.; sons, Frank Calloway, Jr. (Willene) of Demopolis, Oscar Wayne Calloway of Selma and Timothy Calloway (Teasie) of Spanish Fort; grandchildren, Jeremy Calloway, Lisa McHugh (Adam), Ethan Calloway and Courtney Calloway; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and very dear friend, Mittie White.

A church service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday September 16, 2011 at Fairview Baptist Church with Reverend George Jones, Dr. Kenny Hatcher and Reverend Tom Stacey officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday September 15, 2011 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Adam McHugh, Jeremy Calloway, Ethan Calloway, Gil Gilmore, Mark Hutchinson and Harold DeVane. Honorary Pall Bearers will be, Tom Richardson and Hospice Care of Demopolis.
