Dorothy Marie Lindsey Freeman, 83, of Demopolis died Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Princeton Hospital in Birmingham.
Born Sept. 22, 1928 in Greene County to the late Charles E. and Mattie McDowell Lindsey, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth O’Neal Freeman, brothers Jim Lindsey, Richard Lindsey, Lindy Lindsey, Joe Lindsey and Charles E. Lindsey Jr., sister Hattie Fern, Lena Mae Wilson, Dora Rue Lee, Faye Blond and Frances Martin.
She is survived by her sons Ronnie (Diane) Freeman of Demopolis and Kenny (Teressa) Freeman of Demopolis, grandchildren Kelly (Trey) Gandy of Demopolis, Ron Freeman of Auburn, Jake Freeman of Demopolis, Will Freeman of Demopolis, Jennifer (Alan) Lloy of Chattanooga, Tenn. and one great grandchild, Wade O’Neal Gandy of Demopolis.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Demopolis with Rev. Carl Williams officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Burial will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Saturday night at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m.
Pallbearers will include Billy Joe Webb, Freddie Webb, Bobby Lindsey, Craig Seale, John Barnes and Mark Baker.
Honorary Pallbearers will include Clara Johnson, Joyce Barnes, Mary Moore, Jo Ann Henderson, Chug Pruitt, Barbara Harris, Dede Spence, Bernquetta Johnson and the Hugh Lloyd Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.
