Joel Wesley Ratcliff, age 30, of Faunsdale, died May 26, 2012. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Faunsdale with Revs. George McKee and Stan Bamberg officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis directing.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Wessie Rankin and Ernest and Ethel Ratcliff; and two aunts, Terri Sue Rankin and Betty Sargeant.

Survivors include his father, James Edward Ratcliff and mother, Rachel Rankin Ratcliff, both of Faunsdale; sisters, Madaline Jacobs (Kevin) and Julianna Stewart (Corey), all of Linden, and Eileen Mai (Terry) of Mobile; brother, Scott Ratcliff (Veronica) of Biloxi, Miss.; aunts, Julie Bamberg (Stan) of Marion and Sarah Rankin of Faunsdale; uncles, Joe L. Rankin Jr. (Gail) and George Rankin (Debbie), all of Faunsdale; and a number of other loved family members.

He was born Oct. 25, 1981, in Mobile County to Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Ratcliff.

Pallbearers will be William Bamberg, Brian Bamberg, Amzi McKee, Bobby Byrd, Corey Stewart, and Kevin Jacobs.

Honorary pallbearers are Patrick Rankin, Matt Snodgrass, Nate Vandeveer, Colin Thompson, Brooks Rankin, Kirby Howard, J.C. Etheridge, Wes Mullinax, and Brooks Kelley.
