Jingle Bell Run draws crowd

The 2012 Jingle Bell Run/Walk 5K was a huge success for Harriet’s House.

The race saw more than 150 people register, with the proceeds going to Harriet’s House to benefit abuse victims in Marengo, Choctaw, Clarke, Greene and Sumter counties.

Ashton King won the race with a time of 19:06.

The other top male finishers were Tanner King and Nathan Hay. The top female finishers were Marysa Gilbrath, Alissa Hammons and Vicki Alexander.

The winners in the Masters category (above 40) were Leslie Spiller and Monica Cox. The winners in the Grandmasters category (above 50) were David Griffith and Melanie Germany.
