Yelverton, Bryant exchange vows

Lee Ann Yelverton and Jay Patrick Bryant of Nashville, Tenn. were married on Dec. 8, 2012, at Belle Meade Plantation in Nashville, Tenn. The Rev. Danny Rhodes officiated the 5 p.m. in the evening ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Laymon Myres Yelverton of Linden. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Warren Scott of Linden, Mrs. Margaret Yelverton Johnson of Selma and the late Mr. Laymon Myres Yelverton, Sr.
Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Elwood Bryant of Tuscaloosa. The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Theodore Rutherford Pouncey of Montgomery the late Mr. Theodore Rutherford Pouncey and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Edward Bryant of Andalusia.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an elegant ivory gown fully adorned with alençon lace. An elbow-length bolero made of organza and alençon lace completed the dress. Her fingertip veil was also accented with alençon lace. The bride wore her grandmother’s diamond pendant necklace and carried an heirloom handkerchief from her great-grandmother.
The bride’s sister, Lauren Scott Yelverton, of Birmingham served as maid of honor. She wore an elegant ivory floor length dress with button and lace detailing on the back.
The groom’s father served as best man. The groom’s brother, Stephen Brooks Bryant, of Atlanta, Ga. served as groomsman. John Wesley Curl of Birmingham and Jeffrey Thomas Douglas of Andalusia served as ushers.
The groom’s cousins, Caroline Morgan, Anne Elizabeth Morgan and Lillie Morgan, all of Nashville, Tenn., served as program attendants.
Music was provided for the ceremony by The Nashville Chamber Players.
A reception and dance honoring the bride and groom were held following the ceremony.
After a trip to Hermitage Bay, Antigua, the couple will reside in Nashville, Tenn.
