Maggie Jean Chapman (King) of Pennington died Thursday, Feb. 28 at her home.

She was the owner of R. T. King Logging Company and a member of the Nanafalia Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Williams; parents, Buren & Lucille Chapman; and two brothers, Billy Chapman and Wayne Chapman.

She is survived by two sons, James Williams of Pennington and Chris Chapman of Sweet Water; daughter, Karen Williams of Pennington; brother, Mack Chapman of Butler; two sisters, Patsy Hallman of Butler and Shelia Chapman of Ashville, N.C.; three grandchildren, Little Michael, Kristi and Hannah; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, March 2 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jonathan Bost officiating.

Burial was be at Old Linden Cemetery in Linden.

Active pallbearers were Hugh Luker, Chad Luker, Scott McClure, Patrick Ducote, Mike Cabiness and Jerrad Jones.

Honorary pallbearers were Kelly McKenize, Johnny Williams, Roy Garrison Jr.,Walter Duke, Bo McDonald, Phillip Poellnitz and Timmy Glosson.
