Between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, much of West Central Alabama, including Demopolis and Marengo County, will be under the threat of high winds, heavy rains and possible tornadoes.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham said there is a medium threat for damaging winds, tornadoes and flash flooding, and a low threat for hail across the region.
