The Demopolis High School class of 1958 held a reunion last weekend to celebrate the 55th anniversary of their graduation. Out of a class of 40, 17 were able to attend. The festivities began Friday evening with a welcome home gathering at Mr. G’s Restaurant. The good time progressed to more drinks and reminiscing at the Foscue House.

Saturday morning the group gathered at the Lower Pool pavilion for lunch, pictures and more memories. Upon leaving, the class stopped by Tiger Walk at the present Demopolis High School to have more pictures made and to buy some of the paving stones in support of the Demopolis CitySchool Foundation.

Saturday evening the class members and their guests had a steak and chicken dinner at the Porter Farm in Gallion. Everyone brought their memorabilia, 50s music was played, and the house was filled with old songs and laughter. Those in attendance agreed it was the best reunion yet, and another one should be held next year.
