Get on the Green is a non-profit foundation that is hitting a golf ball across America, from Ventura, Calif., to Charleston, S.C.

The group came through Demopolis on Thursday, July 18, and played a round of golf at the Demopolis Country Club before moving on to their next destination. They are raising money for underprivileged children to be able to attend Providence Cristo Rey High School in Indiana. Their fundraising goal for the cross-country journey is $100,000, which is equal to tuition for 12 students.

The trip in its entirety is expected to take 100 days.
