Bob Ray Finley, 74, of Gulf Shores died Tuesday, Sept. 24 at his home.

He was born Sept. 21, 1939, in Lamison. He was a former peach farmer in Chilton County, a retired superintended with Gulf Shores Utilities, and a former equipment operator for Gulf Shores Street Operations.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Cranford Finley of Gulf Shores; sons, Stacy Finley of Gulf Shores and Shane Finley of Diamond Head, Miss.; daughter, Susan Andersen of Summerdale; and five grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services were held at Thomaston Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 27 at noon with the Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating.

Honorary pallbearers were Don Crocker, George Ward, Billy Johnson and Geoff Wilkins.
