He’s making a list, checking it twice and visiting the Demopolis Public Library to see who’s been naughty or nice. Santa Claus will visit the library Monday, Dec. 2 from 5:30-7 p.m.
Everyone is invited to stop by for a photo with Santa, sit on his lap and discuss their favorite books. Families are encouraged to come, and parents may bring their own cameras for pictures as well. Santa will arrive at the library on a firetruck.
“We had Santa visit last year after Children’s Librarian Kelley Tarpley saw a need in our community,” said Library Director Morgan Allen. “We will take children’s pictures and put them on our website so parents can go download them or print them out if they want to.”
The library will serve holiday cookies and have a box for the children to drop their letters to Santa in.
“Tuscaloosa and Meridian are too far for some people to take their children to see Santa,” Tarpley said. “We are glad he is coming here and can be part of the library experience.”
