Kiwanis donates books for RIF program

Demopolis Kiwanis Club President Matt Cole, Kiwanis member Craig Schumacher and Demopolis First Baptist WEE School Director Cindy Hay took books to the George P. Austin Head Start School on Thursday and read stories to the children as part of the Reading is Fundamental program.

They read to each of the seven classrooms at the school and donated books to each classroom that the children will be able to take home.

The Demopolis Kiwanis Club participates in the RIF program and reads a few times each school year.
