Georgia-Pacific donates to Sweet Water robotics team

Georgia-Pacific’s Naheola Mill in Pennington recently donated $2,500 to the Sweet Water High School BEST Robotics Program.

Georgia-Pacific Naheola Mill Manager Kelvin Hill presented Kevin Byrd, Sweet Water's science, technology, engineering and math teacher, with a $2,500 check to support the BEST Robotics team at the high school.

Georgia Pacific has helped support Sweet Water’s robotics team for three years.

Sweet Water placed second at the Jubilee BEST Robot Competition in October and advanced to the regionals in Auburn for the fourth consecutive year.

In addition to the monetary donation, several Georgia-Pacific employees assisted the robotics team.
