Shelton State Community College is offering free GED preparation classes and basic adult education classes in Demopolis.

GED and basic education refresher courses are offered Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Demopolis Career Center lccated at 1074 Bailey Drive. Classes are also offered on Monday and Wednesday from 5-8:30 p.m. at the Theo Ratliff Center.

Anyone interested in taking the classes must attend a one-hour orientation and take a three-hour pretest to establish learning levels.
